Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED), an initiative of the Department of Finance at the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), provided opportunity to two Tibetan students to attend the African Leadership Academy’s Global Scholars Program (GSP) from July 25 – August 12, 2015 supported by Omidyar Network.

The Global Scholars Program is an intensive, 19-day program for a select group of students from various countries across the globe. Built around African Leadership Academy’s unique Entrepreneurial Leadership and African studies curriculum, GSP prepares young leaders to create widespread change throughout the world.

“I feel lucky to be one of the selected students this year to attend this unique and rare opportunity. We got to meet so many interesting people and students from different parts of the world. This is once in a lifetime opportunity for us. ” said student Thinley Wangmo from Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) in Dharamsala. The Students, Tenzin Rapgha and Thinley Wangmo will be presenting their experience to their school mates in the coming week at the Upper TCV School.

Today both the students has meeting with Honorable Paljor Kalon Mr. Tsering Dhundup at the Department of Finance and briefed him about the program and their experience.
