In the year 1980 to 1986 he has worked with Tibetan woolen yarn Center Amritsar Punjab, as an Administrator for facilitating the carpet factories in Tibetan settlement, Bhutan and India. From 1986 to 1990 he worked with Songtsen carpet manufacture & exporter, Nepal as Administrator. This carpet export has contributes a large contribution to (DOF) CTA.

In the year 1992, he was appointed for the post of undersecretary and served as Tibetan settlement officer, Satuan settlement. He was later promoted as deputy secretary and appointed as welfare officer of Dickeyling Tibetan settlement, Dehra Dun.

He became the Nepal CTC carpet factory administrator under home department and later promoted as joint secretary in 1997 with the same job. In 2001, he was appointed as the settlement officer at Bylakuppe, Lugsam Tibetan Settlement under home department and later promoted to additional secretary in 2004 and served as chief representative of southern Tibetan settlements Bangalore. He was then promoted to secretary in 2007 and served the office representative of His Holiness in Nepal. In the year 2012, he was appointed as executive secretary at Department of Finance and currently serving at the same post.
