Pre-Incubation Training
The Pre-Incubation program is a customized program designed to provide first hand entrepreneurship development training to the ideation and recently startup (Less than one year) aspiring entrepreneurs who needs assistance in developing business plan and to enhance their knowledge on their business. During the program, the applicants will be taught the basics of entrepreneurship, how to develop a concrete business plan and information and guidance on business registration procedures and most importantly leverage the networks of the incubation center. The selected entrepreneurs will be provided training at an external incubation center for a period of 5 weeks. The applicants willing to enroll in this program must have a strong intention to register their business legally to comply with the laws of the local and central government.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for the pre-incubation training, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant should be a Tibetan national holding a valid and updated green book
- Applicant should have been in business for less than one year or purely in ideation stage
- Applicant must have completed at least under graduate degree from any universities & colleges or any other equivalent course.
Judging Criteria:
Applicant’s application will be assessed by a team of selection committee and the advisory board of TED based on the following criteria:
- Business Idea: The Business idea of the applicant will be evaluated on the basis of:
- Innovativeness: The business idea should be innovative to create something new or different from the existing products & services in the market.
- Sustainability: The idea should show sustainability of the business.
- Ability to scale: The idea should have the ability to scale in future.
- Financial stability: The business idea must demonstrate how they can reach long-term financial stability /growth with rational rates of return
- Replicable: They must also demonstrate the potential to replicate their innovative business model across regions
- Unique Value Proposition: The business idea should also demonstrate the unique value proposition needed to thrive in a competitive market
- Social Impact: Applicants should present the impact of their business to the communities and how it will create job opportunities from their business in the Tibetan communities especially in southern Tibetan settlements.
- Applicant Strength: Applicants will also be evaluated on the basis of the strength of their leadership, their expertise & knowledge on the business idea and their entrepreneurial drive to implement their business idea.
