Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED), an initiative of the Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD) under the Department of Finance, CTA, is a continuation of an EDOTS program which aims to be an agent of change in helping orient Tibetan entrepreneurs and businesses towards becoming competitive, sustainable and impact-oriented.

TED aims to affect the profound transformation of the Tibetan community to partake in global opportunities and contribute to the community’s economic well-being. In doing so, TED aims to convert high-potential business ideas into successful ventures as well as to support existing businesses’ expansion and sustainability.

The goals and objectives of TED are to ultimately create a mutually complementary set of initiatives and programs that identify, encourage and support entrepreneurs and enterprises in the Tibetan community to raise and utilize investment funds from private and commercial sources. Keeping the development of “investable enterprises” owned and managed by Tibetan entrepreneurs as a central focus will be critical to how TED is designed and implemented
