Pre-Incubation Training

The Pre-Incubation program is a customized program designed to provide first hand entrepreneurship development training for aspiring entrepreneurs with a business idea or a recent startup (less than one year) who need assistance developing a business plan. During the program, participants are taught the basics of entrepreneurship, how to develop a concrete business plan, guidance on business registration procedures, and the opportunity to leverage the networks of the incubation center. Selected entrepreneurs will be provided training at an external incubation center for a period of 5 weeks. Participants must have a strong intention to register their business legally in order to comply with the laws of the local and central government. Upon completion of the Pre-Incubation program, participants are eligible to take part in TED’s Business Plan Competition. Entrepreneurs present their business plan to a panel of judges and are awarded seed funding in the form of an interest free loan of up to 2 lakhs based on the needs and strength of their business plan.

Business Incubation Support

The Business Incubation program is designed entrepreneurs who have a business plan and are ready to launch their business as well as current business owners looking to expand or scale. TED provides a variety of services during Business Incubation to support entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their business. This includes connecting entrepreneurs with mentors and industry experts, assisting entrepreneurs with business incorporation, support obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and providing physical space for entrepreneurs to implement their business plan. The duration and nature of support depends on the needs of the business and the entrepreneurs. The Business Incubation program is available to applicants who have completed the Pre-Incubation program as well as applicants currently running a business who do not require pre-incubation training.

Business Plan Development Support

Business Plan Development Support Program is similar to Pre-Incubation Training. The main difference is that applicants for Business Plan Development Support do not attend training at an external incubation center. Instead, applications are provided support through external freelance business plan developers either remotely or at an agreed upon site that is convenient for the applicant. Selected entrepreneurs work alongside business professionals to develop a concrete business plan. Applicants for the Business Plan Development Support Program should have the intention to register their business legally in compliance with the laws and regulations of the local & central government.

Startup Funding

Startup funding is capital provided to selected TED entrepreneurs. There are two categories of funding, the first is available to entrepreneurs who have received Pre-Incubation training and the second is for the entrepreneurs who seek seed capital but do not wish to attend training.

Entrepreneurs who have received pre-incubation training are eligible to participate in a business plan competition where they can receive seed funding in the form of an interest free loan of up to 2 lakhs. These entrepreneurs can also apply for the TED Investment Award or the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) program.

Entrepreneurs who seek funding but do not wish to participate in business training from TED can apply for the Revolving Loan Fund. TED will provide assistance acquiring the loan and the necessary documents required for submission to the RLF. While these entrepreneurs cannot participate in the Business Plan Presentation, they can apply for the TED Investment Award.

Legal Registration & Business Incorporation Support

The Legal Registration & Business Incorporation Support Program is designed to help entrepreneurs legally register and/or incorporate their business so that it is in compliance with the laws of the local & central government. Legal support will be provided either through freelance CA & corporate lawyers or through a law firm. The support includes business registration as a Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Limited Liability Partnership, Private Limited Company, Public Limited Company and support obtaining required documents based on the needs and nature of the business such as VAT, Income tax, PAN, TIN, ISI or license, GST. Legal support is available to applicants who have attended Pre-Incubation Training as well as applicants who need help with legal registration and/or business incorporation but do not wish to attend training.
